Should we just sell the house and buy a boat and sail the world? Okay, sure! Was the response. We had no idea what we were getting into. Over the past five years on La Mer, we have battled storm after storm, fought cockroach invasions, endured broken bones, pirates, and more, all in the pursuit of seeking paradise on the sea. It is worth it. The adventure and beauty of it all keeps the wind in our sails... and neither of us plan on stopping until we have circumnavigated this beautiful world... all with the help of our favorite fluffy first mate, Lucy.

A seasoned pair of explorers who traded their land legs for salt life over a decade ago. Don is a Navy veteran, mechanical wizard, and steady captain behind the wheel. Meredith is a gourmet-in-the-galley, fashionista-at-sea, and the heart of the adventure. Together, they’ve logged thousands of nautical miles—and have no plans of stopping anytime soon.
Lucy
Equal parts navigator, cuddle buddy, and treat-seeking missile. She’s sailed more miles than most people have flown.
